Elementary FAQ's | Middle School FAQ's

We’ve Got You Covered: The after-school program is open every day (even half days!) from school dismissal until 5:50 PM. Our program from grades Pre-K through 8th, start on September 9th, 2019 & end on June 19th, 2020. Parents can customize their child’s after-school schedules, from one day to five days per week, one class to two classes per day, in any configuration. Manhattan Youth also runs full day camps during school vacations (separate registration required).

Welcome: At the end of the school day, classroom teachers dismiss all students registered for our program directly to our staff. Students eat a hot meal and socialize with friends, decompressing from the school day and gearing up for after-school.

Elementary (grades Pre-K-5th): After-School includes one Class and one Choice Time Activity per day. We provide a wide variety of sports, arts, and enrichment activities for every age group. The classes that you select when enrolling your child in the program are taught by certified teachers, teaching artists, activity specialists and coaches. These classes take place from 3:30-4:40 PM.

Homework and Choice Time: After classes, students choose from a list of structured and free play activities, led by our group leaders from 4:40-5:50 PM. These activities are included in your tuition. Choice Time activities include: Study Hall, Gym Sports, Outdoor Play, Indoor Games, Arts & Crafts, and more.

Elementary Tuition - Tuition is billed monthly, on the first business day of the month. Tuition is based on the total number of classes per week.

All activities are free to participants thanks to funding from the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD). To learn more about New York City's investment in middle school youth and other family programs, please click here.
