Mid-Winter Break Camps

Grade 6–8

Winter Filmmaking Intensive

The one-week filmmaking workshops are fast-paced, intense and collaborative and offered each week. In each group, 10-12 students work together to develop a story, from concept to screenplay, and produce an original short film. The collaborative process results in dynamic, original projects that could not have come from one mind alone. The incredibly short turnaround time – from concept to screening – creates the kind of high-energy environment that forges strong friendships and creative partnerships.

The week will include:

  • A crash course in composition, coverage and visual storytelling
  • Hands-on experience with camera, lighting, directing and editing
  • A safe space for developing ideas and brainstorming original story concepts
  • A fun and supportive team production environment
