Senior Programs
Senior Swim
Mondays - Thursdays 12:30-2:00 PM 
To promote continuing active lifestyles, Manhattan Youth offers a Senior Swim program for ages 65+. Seniors may enjoy Open Swim and Lap Swim 4 days per week, in addition to weekly Senior Water Exercise classes and monthly Senior Swim Lesson Clinics.
 
Senior Water Exercise
Mondays & Thursdays at 12:45 PM
Aqua Exercise is a low-impact activity that takes pressure off your bones and joints, while using the natural resistance of water to help strengthen your muscles, improve your balance, and increase your flexibility. No formal swim training is needed to enjoy this incredible workout!
 
Senior Yoga
Fridays 12:30-1:30 PM
This class teaches safe and developmentally sound yoga poses, breath work, meditation
and relaxation. Seniors build strength and flexibility to relieve tension and anxiety.
Adult Fitness
Glide Fit:  Part Yoga, Part Pilates, part pool party, our Glide Fit classes for grown-ups  use the pool, special boards and tons of core work for a full body workout that's as fun as it is effective.   
Adult Swim Program
Adult Lap Swim and Steam Room
During designated hours, lanes are reserved specifically for Adult Lap Swimming.
 
Adult Beginner and Intermediate Swim Classes
These drop-in, Members-Only classes are great for Adults who have fears of the water, are new to swimming, or want to learn proper strokes and breathing enabling them to swim for longer distances. Our swim instructors for these classes are trained specifically to teach adults beginner and intermediate swimming skills.
 
Adult Advanced Swim Classes: Endurance/Fitness and Technique
These drop-in, Members-only Adult classes are designed to help advanced swimmers improve their speed and swimming endurance (in our Fitness/Endurance class) or learn new strokes and refine their stroke technique (in our Technique class).
New Moms and Moms To Be
PRONatal Fitness
Mondays 6:30 PM
Join us for a Safe and Effective workout perfect for the mom to be. New Moms also welcome! Included with Membership.

Introductory Hand building Clay Workshop

If you've always wanted to roll up your sleeves to have some fun working with clay, this is your opportunity. We are offering a 2 1/2 hour Introductory Hand Building Workshop with Tribeca Clayworks at the Downtown Community Center. Working with our ceramic artists you will learn many of the hand building skills needed to make all kinds of functional and sculptural works of art. If you want to keep your work, you can glaze your ware during the session and for $15, we will fire it in our kiln. At the end of the class you can take a spin on the pottery wheel, just be prepared to get dirty!
