This drop-in class is great for adults who have a fear of the water, are new to swimming, or want to learn proper strokes and breathing, enabling them to swim for longer distances. Our swim instructors for these classes are trained specifically to teach adults beginner to intermediate swimming skills. We offer two groups each week, divided by skill level so we can be sure to offer the most appropriate level of instruction for each individual.
This class is designed with the adult beginner in mind while also appropriate for the more experienced. You learn to work with clay using hand building and wheel throwing techniques. With lots of personal attention from your instructor, you will have fun making unique handmade pots, vessels and sculpture. Studio time is also available on a separate day to build experience and work on projects. Registration Required.
This workshop is designed to teach adults the basic skills of hand building with clay. With those skills you will be able to make a bowl, plate or anything of your choice. You will have the chance to glaze your piece of art so it can be fired in our kiln for later pick up.
During designated Lap Swim hours, 2-4 lanes are reserved for Adult Lap Swimming. Please note: we do not guarantee lap lanes during Family Swim hours.
