Tritons Swim Team

Tritons Swim Team - Our Philosophy
The Tritons Swim Team is unique in that we are not part of a league and we do not swim against other teams. The Tritons hold inter-team meets several times per year, in our pool at the Downtown Community Center.

Through our recreational swim club, swimmers grades 2nd-8th are able to experience a very positive, social, team environment while learning proper technique and developing an understanding of self-competition and the importance of setting personal goals.

We do not believe that team swimming is only for those destined to be Olympic athletes. We believe that all swimmers should have the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop their sport and their passion. With the support of our experienced coaches, Tritons swimmers have consistently shown improvement in technique, stamina, and speed. During the past season, over 85% of the time that our swimmers raced, they accomplished their best times.

Our goal, however, is not strictly to develop fast swimmers. Our goal is to develop great student-athletes and well-rounded young adults, who can balance schoolwork, practices, and a variety of other activities - all with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, respect for themselves and others, and support from their team, coaches, and parents.

We are very proud of our swimmers and our team - and we invite you to explore our unique philosophy and program.
