Families with older children can choose to brave the Tunnel of Terror, an interactive walk through a Haunted Graveyard, a Vampire Castle, Zombie Alley, the Mad Science Lab, an Insane Asylum, and the Black Widow's Web. Each installation will be staffed by professional actors and our Manhattan Youth child-care professionals.

Parenting Workshop and Book Launch -- Sean Grover
How to Seize Control from Your Little Bully and Enjoy Being a Parent Again
Rebellious, entitled, disrespectful... A generation ago, it would have been unthinkable for children to push their parents around. Today, everyone knows parents who are mistreated by their kids.
Experts might label such kids as "difficult" and advise how to "fix" them. But parenting struggles rarely originate from just one side. Instead, they erupt at the volatile intersection of a child's personality with a parent's own insecurities and behaviors. Fixing the child requires fixing yourself.
Join therapist and parenting expert Sean Grover as untangles the forces that drive family dysfunction, and helps parents to assume leadership roles. With a liberating message and perceptive advice, WHEN KIDS CALL THE SHOTS will help parents to end their membership to the "Suffering Parent Club" and make parenting a pleasure again.

Manhattan Youth's Outdoor Adventure Bonus Hike

Heavy sneakers or hiking boots, layered clothing, packed lunch, bottled water, and a snack are required.
Manhattan Youth's Tribeca Holiday Craft Fair
Manhattan Youth launches the 1st Annual Tribeca Holiday Craft Fair at our Downtown Community Center.  Forget the holiday rush at the department stores and come support our local crafters and artists by buying unique, handmade gifts for the holidays.  Pick up some handmade stocking stuffers, tree ornaments, jewelry, toys, ceramics, clothing and more while listening to music and munching on some artisan eats and drinks.  Not only will you be supporting the local talents and resources in our community, but you will be helping a child in need.  For every dollar you spend, 30% of it will be donated to Save the Children emergency efforts in West Africa.
MY Gingerbread Workshop
The creativity! The candy! The memories! If you've ever dreamed of constructing your own edible edifice like the gingerbread house visited by Hansel and Gretel, then join us Sunday, December 14th for one of our favorite seasonal events. Led by our early childhood art instructors, parents and children ages 4-12 will decorate, design, and eat everything from frosted candy roofs to pretzel picket fences. Your family will enjoy the cheerful holiday tunes and spend some quality time with your favorite creative chef, and of course, have no mess to clean up at the end!
And best of all, the proceeds from every gingerbread house created will be donated to the Save the Children Fund, which promotes children's rights, provides relief, and helps support children in developing countries.
